Let’s Talk Book Goals, Shall We?

Do you have a book goal for 2019?

In previous years when it comes to book goals I’d gone for the standard ‘I want to read this many books this year’.

This year, I decided to do something a little bit different.

Instead of setting up a numbered goal of how many books I want to read this year. I decided to go about my goal a little bit differently. While I’m still going to keep track of how many books that I’ll read this year, my 2019 Book Goal doesn’t have anything to do with numbers.

What’s my 2019 Book Goal? For this year, I’m going to read one new to me author each month and at least one book on my tbr list. So far, I haven’t had any trouble keeping this goal and I’m enjoying reading new to me author’s works and eagerly diving into reads that I’d been meaning to read for quite awhile.

Amazing new series from my favourite mother-daughter duo writing team!

2019 is flying by so fast, I can hardly believe that May is here (it’s currently 3:08am here in Melbourne, Australia).

I have read some truly amazing reads so far (including the book above) and met some incredible authors including the fabulous Nalini Singh (again!) and the awesome Lynette Noni, I was in the middle of reading her Medoran Chronicles at the time and was totally fangirling. I absolutely loved that fantastic series and will gush over it more in an upcoming post.

You may or may not wonder how the year has been for me so far? I hope it’s been well for you. Aside from being hectic, the year started off pretty good for me, I won one of the 12 Days of Christmas Prizes from Waterhouse Press (an Angel Payne starter pack – or that’s what I call it!).

I also had a lot of fun decorating my Deluxe Organizer/Planner from Typo. (It’s my absolute favourite organizer.) Not only did I have a lot of fun decorating my organizer but I also had a great time taking my planner to the book signing events where I had authors sign it and give me inspiration/tips for my writing. Yes, I’m an aspiring author, I’m currently working on my own book projects. Let you know more soon.

My gorgeous Deluxe Organizer/Planner from Typo! I love it!

I also got my hair done all pretty again! I swear I’ve had it dyed different colours for the past two years now.

Just in case you were wondering what my hair looked like from the front and back

At the moment though, my family and I are going through a bit of a tough time. So I’m taking the time to remember the positives (there have been many this year) and in between working on my own writing projects I’m also going to be writing more on my blog as I’ve been neglecting it dreadfully and mainly posting on social media sites.

So to help kick me into gear and increase my blogging I’m going to take part in a 30 Day Book Challenge.

Which means that I’ll be posting again later today or tomorrow depending on where you are in the world.

Until then,

Cheers from Rhianna of Bingeworthy Book Blog
