It’s Day 3 of the 30 Day Book Challenge and I have a surprise for you tomorrow!

Now this is an easy question for me. If you had asked me this question prior to 2006, I probably wouldn’t have had such an easy answer.

For me, my favourite series, without a doubt is the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh. Have you heard of the series before?

The Psy-Changeling series are standalone paranormal romance novels, meaning each couple get their own HEA by the end of the book. The books include: Slave to Sensation, Visions of Heat, Hostage to Pleasure, Mine to Possess, Branded by Fire, Blaze of Memory, Bonds of Justice, Play of Passion, Kiss of Snow, Tangle of Need, Heart of Obsidian, Shield of Winter, Shards of Hope, Allegiance of Honor, Silver Silence (Psy-Changeling Trinity), Ocean Light (Psy-Changeling Trinity), along with a number of novellas set in the Psy-Changeling world as well.

The series feature the Psy race (psychics), Changelings (think shifters) and humans.

You might wonder why it’s my favourite series. The answer is fairly simple.

It’s the tantalizing warmth of the pack.

I’ve read many, many paranormal romance books, I’m a big fan of Christine Feehan, MySherrilyn (I’m not using her last name anymore! I’m a Palladin!), Laurell K Hamilton and Lora Leigh just to name a few, but reading Nalini Sing’s Psy-Changeling series offered me something that reading my other favourite authors hadn’t.

Her series offered me an open ended invitation to join a nosy, loving, loyal and fiercely protective extended family. A huge family full of love and laughter but who faced trials just like everyone else. A family that just so happened to be able to change into animals.

It was that sense of family, of warmth and connection that kept me coming back for more and more,

Another reason why it’s my favourite series is because when I’m having a bad day, when I’m depressed or sad or just stressed out to the max, thinking about this series, daydreaming about the characters or taking one of the books off my shelves and falling into the world once more can help me to find my positivity and happiness again or even just a sense of calm.

The Psy-Changeling series is my go-to series that I read at least once a year if not more. I’m hoping that there will be many, many more stories to come in this fictional world that I absolutely adore.

So that’s my favourite series, I’d love to hear what yours is.

Until tomorrow (when you’ll get a surprise!),

Hugs and happy reading from Rhianna of Bingeworthy Book Blog
