I hope everyone that’s reading has had a happy, safe and relaxing holiday season. I took a little stepback and break away from blogging in the leadup to Christmas and New Year as there was just so much going on and not enough time to get it all done in.
However, now that the craziness of Christmas and New Year celebrations is finally winding down, I’m getting back into reading, writing and blogging.
This year is going to be kick-ass. At least, I hope it’ll be kick-ass. It’s definitely going to be a busy half-year, that’s for sure. In April I’ll be attending the Sydney Author Event (I can’t wait to see Nalini Singh again! I adore her!) I’ll also be attending the RT Booklovers Convention in Reno, Nevada in May (that’s if I can get a few more things organized, fingers crossed!) and in July I’ll be going to see Pink in concert (I’ve never seen Pink before and am super excited by it.)
But let’s talk books, shall we?
Presently, I’m reading a copy of XO, ZACH by Kendall Ryan which I’m really loving, the heroine of the story Poppy is both sassy and very dirty minded and the way that she talks and thinks has made me lol a number of times already. I’m so very excited about the upcoming release of this book. I’m so intrigued by all the men and women of Torpedo Ink and can’t wait to see where Christine Feehan takes these new characters. I absolutely adored Bound Together even though it made me cry a bucket of tears. If you’re feeling a little clueless right now and thinking, Judgement Road is the first book in the new Torpedo Ink series, isn’t it? It’s true, it is. However, the Torpedo Ink series is a spin-off of the Sisters of the Heart series which is a spin-off of the Drake Sisters series. And all the books are fabulous! I’ve read and loved them all. For those who haven’t read them and want to give them a try, here’s the reading order: Drake Sisters – Magic in the Wind, The Twilight Before Christmas, Oceans of Fire, Dangerous Tides, Safe Harbor, Turbulent Sea, Hidden Currents. I read the first book Nero and was instantly addicted. For those who don’t know, Sarah Brianne is the daughter of Jamie Begley, another author whose books I’m addicted to.
